ArtPoint will be donning diamonds and rolling out the red carpet for an evening of elegance, fashion, and everything Cartier. Please join us on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Legion of Honor as we celebrate Cartier and America. The evening will be an exploration of one of the most celebrated jewelry designers of the 20th century. Guests will delight in delicious hors d'oeuvres, haute cocktails, and entertainment and music from an era when glamour reigned.
The exquisite Cartier and America exhibition charts the history of the House of Cartier from the opening of its first American store one hundred years ago. For the past century, Cartier has supplied legendary American society figures with brilliantly colored jewelry and luxury goods. The extensive collection coming to the Legion of Honor features iconic Cartier pieces, including Grace Kelly's diamond engagement ring, the Tutti Frutti necklace made for trend-setter of the day Daisy Fellowes, a Tank watch designed for Fred Astaire, a suite of ruby jewelry that belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, and much more.
